As usual, we learnt new basic photoshop skills during this tutorial. This time, we were taught how to paint gradient colours by using the brush tool. The main key of this skill depends on how well you control your mouse. In order to produce a smooth gradient colour, we practiced quite some time to achieve our objective in this tutorial. Besides, we were taught to use the smudge tool to blend colours together. Interestingly, we can also use the smudge tool to create shadows for objects. In the artwork above, I used the brush tool to colour the inner part of the ball. The brighter side of the ball is the part which is exposed to the light more than the other parts of the ball. At the bottom of the ball, I used the smudge tool to create a shadow for the ball.

Tutorial Exercise 25 January 2013
As the same as prevoius tutorials, we were given tasks to complete. This time, sir showed us how to use photoshop's transparent effect. It was amazing. It was just about cutting, pasting and adjusting the capacity. Besides, to add on, sir also showed us how to make fake shadows for images to make our whole image look real. After trying out at home, the objectives of this tutorial was met. I was able to make glasses transparent and created a fake pineapple shadow but the whole picture wasn't satisfying. However, I believe I can do better in my next artwork.
Below are my references for the images I used in my work which were taken from the Internet:

Tutorial Exercise 18 Jan 2013
In class, we were taught to use the lasso tools to crop out objects from a picture. After that we were given an assignment, requesting us to crop out several fruits and design a picture with a "fruits fiesta" theme. I used the magnetic lasso tool and the polygonal tool to crop the fruits out from their original pictures. On another piece of paper, I coloured the background with several colours to produce a sense of joy. Later on, I pasted those fruits onto the paper. The whole piece of work is an idea of lots and lots of fruits falling from the top to the bottom, creating a very delightful feeling.
Tutorial Exercise 11 Jan 2013
So, the lecturer taught us how to use the brushes in the first tutorial. We were asked to create something, anything with the brushes. I was truly clueless and simply put on some colours onto the white screen. Blue sky, green land, and the night sky. After getting home, I was randomly browsing through the types of brushes when I discovered the maple leaf brush. The next thing I started doing was started drawing. I used the maple leaf and some other brushes, some colours to work on my piece of work.
